Teacher Assistant

The teacher assistant supports classroom teachers by facilitating academic groups, providing one-On-One student support, and implementing individualized educational and behavioral plans. They also assist with activities of daily living, maintain classroom safety and cleanliness, and document student progress.

Candidates must hold or be actively pursuing a new york state teacher assistant certification and have passed the nystce atas examination. Experience working with students with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a special education setting is highly preferred.
