Assists with the planning and implementation of activities in accordance with the camp schedule, submitting written plans prior to each week or as assigned by Camp Director. Maintains positive relationships with campers, parents, and staff. Organizes and maintains camp equipment, supplies, and property. Actively participate in all aspects of the day camp schedule as assigned. Maintains camp records including, but not limited to accident & incident reports, sign in/out sheets, attendance documents, etc. Maintains expectation of the YMCA requirements/rations and help others do the same. Works collaboratively with Head Counselor for assigned group. Ensures compliance with all YGBW policies and standard operating procedures. Performs other related duties as assigned. QualificationsWhat You'll Need Must be at least 18 years of age and/or have prior experience in working with children in a camp environment. Ability to effectively use technology for programmatic needs. Attend all required pre-camp and camp season trainings and meetings as scheduled. Obtain and maintain all new hire certifications and trainings before first day of camp.
