Job Description
Provides individual and/or group tutoring to Upward Bound participants during the summer components. Supports Upward Bound faculty/staff and informs staff of student’s concerns and academic performance and maintains documentation. Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following: Supports Upward Bound faculty in the delivery of academic courses. Provides individual and group academic tutorial services to the participants of the Upward Bound Program. Maintains documentation on tutorial services and outreach activities. Informs Upward Bound staff of student’s concerns and academic performance. Serves as a chaperone within educational and cultural field trips. EDUCATION Required: High school diploma and classification as a current college student with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. EXPERIENCE Preferred: Experience as a TRIO student or experience working with TRIO participants is highly desirable. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Preferred: Knowledge of tutorial strategies and classroom management.
