Job description
- Shady Grove Family YMCA is seeking part-time sports camp counselors to help with our summer sports camp program.
- There will be a multitude of activities such as Lego, STEAM, etc..
- A typical shift will run from 8:30am-12:15pm Monday-Friday from June 1-August 7.
- This part time position starts at $14.00 per hour.
- We are asking that all counselors are available 6 of the 8 weeks during the Summer.
- Specialty Camp Counselors will be given all lesson plans and supplies every day.
- Specialty camp counselors should enjoy working with children, communicate effectively with parents, and create a fun environment for all campers!
- DUTIES of a Sports Camp Counselor Sports specialists should be available to work evenings and weekends to help facilitate practices and games.
- QUALIFICATIONS of a Sports Camp Counselor Sports specialist should know the basic rules of the sport, work well with young people, be able to multitask, and communicate effectively with parents and children.
- If you are interested in helping with a specific sport but don't have experience, we will train you!
- Sports Camp Counselors should have an enjoyment of sports, being outdoors, and working with young people.
