Day Shift Child Advocate (Part Time) Isabel's House - Crisis Nursery of the Ozarks, Inc.

  • Schedule: The Child Advocate position offers a set schedule determined by employee prior to start date. The Part Time Child Advocate will be required to work every weekend to ensure staffing for 24/7 care.

In this role, you'll provide daily care and supervision to children in crisis, helping create a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment during some of the most challenging moments in their lives.

  • Advocate, you will: Provide a safe, healthy, and non-judgmental environment for children and families Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate, therapeutic, and educational activities Support children with homework, play, and daily routines Implement developmentally appropriate practices and therapeutic curriculum Follow agency policies, licensing regulations, and approved behavior guidance techniques Maintain required child-to-staff ratios at all times Accurately complete documentation and daily logs Assist with household responsibilities, including cleaning, laundry, and organization Communicate safety concerns or policy issues immediately to supervisors Work collaboratively with staff, volunteers, and community partners

  • Qualifications: At least 21 years of age High school diploma or GED Ability to pass all required pre-employment screenings (background checks, drug test, TB screening, references) Valid Missouri driver's license, acceptable driving record, and proof of insurance Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
