Core responsibilities
The junior dance camp counselor is responsible for the safety, well-Being, and supervision of campers while assisting with age-Appropriate dance instruction. They also maintain camp records, organize equipment, and ensure compliance with ymca policies and safety standards.
Requirements summary
Candidates must be 16-17 years old with at least 3-5 years of formal dance training and experience in dance productions. Prior experience working with children is preferred, and those at dhs licensed sites must be enrolled in or have completed early childhood education classes.
