Core responsibilities
The special education teacher manages a classroom caseload of up to 10 students, overseeing the implementation of academic and behavioral programming and ieps. They also provide direct supervision to instructional assistants and aba therapists while collaborating with the bcba to develop student interventions.
Requirements summary
Candidates must hold a connecticut certification in special education, dsap, or be eligible for a long-Term substitute position. Experience working with students with challenging behaviors and familiarity with applied behavior analysis are required.
