The paraprofessional assists teachers in preparing educational materials and reinforcing learning objectives for students individually or in small groups. They also manage daily classroom routines, including attendance, supply distribution, and monitoring duties like recess and lunch.

Candidates must hold a high school diploma or ged and pass the gace para assessment or possess at least 60 semester hours of college credit. Additionally, the role requires the ability to obtain a georgia psc paraprofessional certificate and perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds.
