Special Education Teacher

The special education teacher provides instructional services to elementary and secondary students in a partial hospital program and manages their educational transition back to home schools. They collaborate with clinical staff to develop lesson plans and behavioral programs while maintaining a conducive learning environment.

Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in education and possess current certification from the rhode island department of education. A minimum of two years of teaching experience is required, with a preference for candidates holding a master's degree.
