Position summary
Serve as an assistant to the Athletic Training Department by providing support and assistance in all daily tasks, front desk support, medical records/filing, maintaining athletic training room, projects and events.
Essential functions
- Provide assistance and clerical support in the athletic training office including managing calendars, answering phones, responding to messages, and assisting walk-ins.
- Assisting with the collection, review and filing of medical records.
- Athletic training room duties will include but are not limited to
- Maintain cleanliness & maintenance of the McGilley, Ryan, and Berkel Stadium athletic training rooms.
- Towel laundering for both McGilley and Ryan athletic training rooms as needed.
- Stocking and inventory of supplies in McGilley and Ryan athletic training rooms.
- Medical paperwork filing.
- Attend practice and/or games as needed to assist with First Aid and hydration.
- Perform additional job related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- CPR/AED certified; or ability and willingness to achieve certification
- First Aid / BBP certified; or ability and willingness to achieve certification
- Affinity for the overall mission of the University of Saint Mary
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to complete USM Approved Driver’s Certification
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be accepted into the University of Saint Mary graduate school, maintain satisfactory academic progress towards a master’s degree.
