Position summary

The University of Saint Mary is seeking an adjunct faculty member in social work. This position is a pool position meaning that openings may or may not be currently available. Your application for this position will be kept current for a period of two years.

Essential functions

  • Teach classes as assigned from the regular social work program curriculum.
  • Prepare syllabi and deliver curriculum appropriate for the course assigned.
  • Appropriately respond to student needs and feedback.
  • Assess the course learning outcomes.
  • Foster an inclusive educational environment to serve all learners.
  • Maintain student attendance records in accordance with university policy.
  • Submit mid-term and final grades on time.
  • Advise and/or mentor students through electronic communications and other appropriate methods.
  • Complete all required training, including training on Engage LMS.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Candidates should have a master’s degree in social work.
