Non-Certified Lead Teacher (Early Head Start)

The lead teacher is responsible for planning and implementing a developmentally appropriate education program that meets individual child needs and state licensing standards. They also manage classroom operations, supervise team members, and maintain active engagement with families through conferences and home visits.

A bachelor's degree in education or a related field is preferred, with a requirement to obtain a child development associate (Cda) certification within 12 months if the degree is not in early childhood education. Candidates should have two years of experience in an early childhood group setting and must pass a background check.
