Special Education Instructional Assistant, Extended Content Standards

Provides instructional support to special education students by assisting teachers with iep implementation and classroom activities. Ensures a safe, supportive environment while facilitating student transitions and providing necessary personal care or behavioral assistance.

Requires a high school diploma or ged along with progress toward an associate's degree or cda credential, or meeting essa requirements. Candidates must hold or be willing to obtain crisis prevention and intervention (Cpi) certification.
