The early head start teacher is responsible for creating and managing a challenging learning environment that incorporates developmentally appropriate activities for young children. They must also facilitate family involvement and ensure compliance with head start performance standards.

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s or associate’s degree in early childhood education or a related field, or possess a child development associate (Cda) credential. Applicants must also pass a background check, physical, drug screen, and tuberculosis test.
