The early head start teacher is responsible for creating and managing a challenging learning environment for young children. They must incorporate developmentally appropriate activities that meet the needs of both the group and individual children.

Candidates must hold a bachelor's or associate's degree in early childhood education or a related field, or possess a child development associate (Cda) credential. Applicants must also pass a background check, physical, drug screen, and tuberculosis test.
