Teacher/Soccer Coach/Dorm Resident Supervisor General Description

  • Teacher: This position is for a full-time teacher at Eagle School. Eagle School will consider education, life experiences, and work experience to determine where this teacher would fit best. Ideally, this position would be a high school instructor.
  • Soccer
  • Coach: This position is for a soccer coach for boys high school soccer. There are two boys’ soccer season, fall and spring. The soccer coach will coach both the fall and spring season.
  • Dorm
  • Resident
  • Supervisor: This position will include living in the boys dorm. All the responsibilities of the resident dorm supervisor are included in this role. A living quarters separated from the dorm boys is including for the resident supervisor.
  • Specific
  • Responsibilities:
  • Teaching: Fulfill the normal duties of a teacher including classroom instruction, lesson planning, grading and grade entry, and work with Eagle Administrative staff to deliver the best teaching quality to the students. The teacher must have a mastery of the course material and be able to instruct the students in a logical manner that will promote retention and lifelong learning. Classroom management skills are very important as students only learn well in an environment that is orderly and conducive to learning.

  • Coaching: The soccer coach must know the sport well. A current US Soccer Federation license or the equivalent from another country is expected. The soccer coach will conduct practices, oversee the play in competition, and work with the physical, emotional, relational, and spiritual needs of the boys in the soccer program. Good sportsmanship will be the basis of all training and competition with being a representative of Christ as a central element.

  • Supervisor: The dorm supervisor will be responsible for the care and concern of the boys living in the dorm. The dorm supervisor will be onsite at all times the boys are in the dorm. He will be certain that the rules and requirements of the dorm are maintained through regular meetings and instruction. He will coordinate with the Eagle administration dorm overseer. The dorm supervisor will give guidance in areas such as food purchasing, food preparation, study for school, spiritual growth and life needs. The dorm supervisor will be the “father” of the dorm boys while they are living in the dorm.
