- Functions: Have an expert level of knowledge and understanding of education, professional development, and EMR documentation and software (BOLT,
- Meditech, or any
- EMR) and impart this knowledge to each user type: Ambulatory Clerical, Ambulatory Nursing, Ambulatory Provider, Inpatient Clerical, Inpatient Nursing, and Inpatient Provider. Facilitate and schedule education training of new users by assigning training assets, teaching hands-on knowledge classes, providing elbow-2-elbow support. Exercise judgement to identify users requiring additional hands on practice beyond onboarding education, and sign off when users are competent to use the EMR in the live environment. Audit charts for deficiencies in clinical documentation and assess the knowledge gap of the end user. Provide periodic follow-up education and maintain a high level of visibility to maintain expert end users. Responsible for creating and maintaining teaching curriculum, BOLT Features, BOLT Essential Guides, and down-time documentation forms and procedures for all end users. Actively participate in testing BOLT/EMR software prior to a release or update and provide feedback to Med One. Act as a coach and mentor for teammates and end users while being a liaison for all EMR stakeholders. Use excellent communication and collaboration to identify opportunities for improvement in safety, quality, efficiency, performances, and compliance. Work to eliminate silos by encouraging cross-functional collaboration and processes from outpatient to inpatient. Coordination/Integration with MHS IT department to ensure offices have appropriate hardware/IT infrastructure to support operations. Have a basic knowledge of computer trouble shooting (basic display settings, microphone, adding printers, etc.) Evaluate the effectiveness of the computer documentation training and collaborate with quality, ACHC coordinator, etc to ensure training includes teaching updated best practice and regulatory requirements. Onboard new providers to MHS with network sign-in, tap badge, email, Imprivata, VPN access, Memorial Care Now (telehealth solution), and set up with Dr. First for e-prescribing, and EPCS. Assumes all other duties as assigned.

- Education/Experience
- Required: BLS required upon hire. Bachelor's degree in nursing, a healthcare related field, or equivalent in non-nursing areas, or currently pursuing required. High School Diploma/GED in lieu of degree required. An RN requires current licensure in state of Ohio and WV. Clinical education experience preferred.
