The assistant teacher supports the lead teacher in implementing activity plans and maintaining a safe, organized, and clean classroom environment. They are also responsible for supervising children, communicating with parents, and assisting with various administrative and facility-related tasks.
Candidates must be at least 18 years old and possess Early Childhood Credentials 1 & 2, along with BSAC and SIDS training. A minimum of three months of experience working with young children and eligibility to work in North Carolina are required.
As an Assistant Teacher, you are instrumental in creating a nurturing and enriching environment for the children under our care. Your dedication to supporting the lead teacher and fostering positive relationships with both children and parents contributes significantly to the success of our childcare program.

Previous experience in early childhood education or a related field. Certification or training in early childhood education. Strong communication skills for interacting with teachers, parents, and staff. Knowledge of NC Daycare regulations and compliance requirements. Experience in maintaining records and documentation. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Commitment to ongoing professional development and training. Familiarity with child development principles and best practices. Ability to adapt to changing needs and priorities in a childcare setting. Positive attitude and passion for working with children and families.
