The instructor will teach a 3-hour weekly lab session to undergraduate students on the use of fitness equipment. Responsibilities include demonstrating foundational strength and conditioning techniques in a recreational center environment.
Candidates must hold a Master's degree in exercise science or a related field and possess relevant certifications such as CSCS, NSCA-CPT, or ACSM-CPT. Demonstrated expertise in teaching or coaching strength and conditioning is required.
This is a part-time adjunct instructor opportunity to teach a 3-hour lab session once a week Fall or Spring semester with the goal to teach undergraduate students how to use the basic equipment in a fitness recreation center (e.g., free weights and functional training such as squats). The course is introductory in nature, particularly designed for students with limited skills in strength and conditioning in the fitness and recreational center environment.
