  • Theodore Catholic School is seeking a dedicated and nurturing Elementary Teacher to join our faith‑centered learning community.
  • The Elementary Teacher is responsible for providing high‑quality instruction that supports students’ academic, spiritual, and personal growth while fostering a safe, engaging, and Christ‑centered classroom environment.Job Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate instruction aligned with diocesan and school curriculum standards.
  • Integrate Catholic teachings, values, and traditions into daily instruction and classroom culture.
  • Establish and maintain a positive, respectful, and structured classroom environment.
  • Assess student progress using a variety of formative and summative assessments and communicate progress with parents and guardians.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and abilities.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student performance.
  • Collaborate with fellow teachers, support staff, and administration to support student success and school initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with families.
  • Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, school liturgies, and events.
  • Uphold school policies and actively support the mission of Catholic education.
  • Job Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field required.
  • Valid teaching certification preferred (or ability to obtain per diocesan requirements).
  • Prior elementary teaching experience preferred.
  • Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to student‑centered learning and academic excellence.
  • Practicing Catholic preferred; must support and respect Catholic teachings and traditions.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the classroom and campus for extended periods. Ability to lift and manage classroom materials as needed.

  • Willingness to participate actively in the spiritual life of the school community.
  • Completion of required background checks and Safe Environment training in accordance with diocesan and school policies.
