- Description of
- Courses: This course examines the rich complexity of human identity and the social dynamics that shape our differences. Students explore how factors such as race, ethnicity, culture, gender, class, age, sexual orientation, religion, and ability influence individual experience, group membership, and institutional systems. In-person at SMCC’s Midcoast Campus in Brunswick during the Fall 2026 semester.

Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree in Human Services, Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Sociology, Education, Cultural Studies, or a related field Professional experience in human services, social work, education, counseling, community-based work, diversity and inclusion, or a closely related field Demonstrated ability to support respectful, inclusive, and student-centered learning environments
Preferred Qualifications
