The Academic Advisor will manage a caseload of students in the Montana 10 program, providing monthly coaching and academic support. They will also facilitate workshops, track student outcomes, and collaborate with faculty to support student retention and success.

Essential duties for this position include but are not limited to: Advise and coach current, new, and potential students in the MT10 program using a caseload model Meet with each MT10 student in their caseload monthly, as well as serve as a resource for day-to-day academic and campus support Engage in regular communication with students to support enrollment and retention Support recruitment efforts for the MT10 program at Montana Technological University and Highlands College Assist students with the resolution of education-related issues and questions Utilize student information system such as Banner, Oredigger Web, and EAB Navigate 360 to facilitate and track student meetings Plan and facilitate regular workshops for students to support a unique MT10 first-year experience Collaborate and coordinate with faculty and staff to build support and remediation plans for students experience difficulties Provide and engage in referrals to appropriate campus resources Organize and report regularly on student out comes and track evaluation data REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university Strong understanding of higher education Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and as a part of a team Demonstrated commitment to student success Excellent oral and written communication skills Proficiency in computer software programs and/or ability to learn new software programs
