Lead Teacher – Toddler / 2-Year-Old Classroom

The Learning Experience – Hudson Yards is seeking an experienced Early Childhood Lead Teacher to guide our 2-year-old classroom. This role supports children during a key stage of independence, language growth, and early social development through structured routines and engaging classroom experiences.

This position is ideal for educators who enjoy leading a classroom team while creating a warm, consistent environment that helps young learners build confidence and early learning foundations.

Key Responsibilities

Lead daily classroom routines for a 2-year-old early childhood classroom Implement developmentally appropriate activities aligned with the L.E.A.P. Curriculum Support early communication, social interaction, and self-help skill development Create a structured environment that promotes independence and participation Partner with assistant teachers to maintain classroom consistency and engagement Communicate regularly with families regarding classroom activities and developmental progress Maintain compliance with New York State and NYC health, safety, and licensing standards

Qualifications

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education required or in progress Minimum 6 months of classroom teaching experience required Strong understanding of developmentally appropriate practice for toddlers CPR/First Aid certification preferred Must meet all New York State and NYC childcare licensing requirements
