Employee Assistance Program Continuing education reimbursement, tuition discounts with Chestnut Hill College and Immaculata University Career development and paid training Unlimited referral bonus beginning at $300.00 What You’ll Do Conduct group exercise classes and provide assistance in a safe, enthusiastic, thorough, courteous and professional manner. Be a positive YMCA role model with an enthusiastic attitude All scheduled classes will be held, and sub coverage secured Classes will start and end on time Greet participants and learn their names Take class attendance Familiarize yourself with our Upace Group Ex technology which includes but is not limited to sub tracking system, class contact feature, class cancellation Check and respond in a timely fashion to your YMCA email Identify your participants’ limitations and adapt your classes and/or provide modifications accordingly Properly and safely utilize all equipment associated with your class Promote a healthy lifestyle Attend advanced training workshops that are offered throughout the year by the YMCA of Greater Brandywine (or another co-op member YMCA) Participate in special events and open houses throughout the year Ensures compliance with all YGBW policies and standard operating procedures. Performs other related duties as assigned. QualificationsWhat You'll Need Must be 18 years or older Minimum 3 years of participation in group exercise class(es) required Possess and maintain at least one current Group Exercise certificate of completion or specialty certificate from a reputable organization for each specialized group modality. 3-4 national certifications (excludes yoga)
  • Yoga only: 200 hour certificate without prior instruction experience Obtain and maintain all new hire certifications and trainings within 90 days of hire Work Conditions and Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Requirements
