Job description
- As an assistant swimming coach, you will report to the head coach and work with them to coordinate, develop, and improve athletes' skills, team strategy, and concepts.
- You will assist in all aspects of training and planning, as well as the development of public relations and promotional activities with the team.
- As needed, you will accompany the team to all events and activities.
- Responsibilities include the Identification, evaluation, and recruitment of top-level athletes.
- Among other duties, you will encourage and promote academic excellence among team members and assist with competition analysis and entries.
- Additionally, you will order uniforms and equipment.
- You will also complete travel orders, create itineraries, and submit receipts and invoices.
The ideal candidate can motivate recruits, student-athletes, and alumni to support the continued growth and success of the university's swimming teams.
Minimum Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree
- At least two years of experience coaching swimming
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to travel
Preferred Qualifications
- At least two years of experience coaching collegiate swimming
- Compliance with and working knowledge of NAIA policies and procedures
Work hours
- The university work week is Sunday through Saturday.
- Most offices are open
- Monday through
