As a Teaching Assistant, you will assist the classroom teacher in out toddler room, with children ranging in age from 18 months through 3 years old assisting with classroom duties and instruction. Your goal is to create a welcoming learning environment and provide students with the tools they need to reach their full potential. The ideal candidate is compassionate, fun, loving, creative, and has a passion for teaching!
Work Schedule
- Monday through
- Friday 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. Follows Canandaigua City School Calendar - closed holidays and school vacation weeks.
Responsibilities
Assist students individually and in small groups Maintain direct competent supervision at all times Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records Communicate with parents and school personnel as requested by the head teacher
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required Previous experience as a teaching assistant is preferred Understanding of child development principles and best practices in education and classroom management Knowledge of classroom health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and ability to closely adhere to the guidelines Excellent verbal and written communication skills Energetic and positive attitude Ability to pass a background check Compensation: $18.00 per hour
