Position Title

Physician Assistant (PA) – On-Site Medical Services Location: Curlew Job Corps Civilian Conservation Center (JCCC) Essential

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct intake physical examinations, medical assessments, and health histories.
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions.
  • Prescribe medications, including controlled substances, in accordance with state law and collaborative agreement.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized medical treatment plans.
  • Provide first aid, emergency response, and stabilization as required.
  • Participate in Disability Accommodation Committee (DAC) meetings and applicant file reviews.
  • Collaborate with mental health, substance abuse, dental, and wellness staff to support integrated care.
  • Maintain complete, accurate, and timely documentation in the Student Health Record (SHR).
  • Establish and manage medical referrals for specialty and emergency care.
  • Participate in quality assurance, audits, training, and Job Corps assessments.
  • Provide health education and prevention counseling to students.
  • Report significant medical issues, incidents, and trends to the Health and Wellness Director and Center Director as required.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, Job Corps PRH, and all applicable federal and state regulations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Active, unrestricted Physician Assistant license in the state where services are provided.
  • Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Formal collaborative agreement with a licensed Physician, in accordance with state scope-of-practice requirements, maintained for the duration of the contract.
  • Current DEA registration.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.
  • Experience in primary care, family medicine, community health, correctional health, or school-based health.
  • Experience working with adolescents and young adults ages 16–24.
