Job Description
The University of Findlay’s Department of Justice Sciences is accepting applications for a part-time instructor in the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences. The department is seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable instructor to teach, at a minimum, introductory and lower-level criminal justice courses in both seated and online formats. Individuals must be willing to develop and deliver engaging course materials and meet the department’s academic standards, provide mentorship and guidance to undergraduate students, collaborate with faculty and staff to enhance the learning environment, and engage in professional development activities to stay current in criminal justice. The successful candidate will contribute to our mission of providing a student-centered education and fostering an environment of professional development and scholarship. The successful candidate must have a minimum of master’s degree in criminal justice or a closely related discipline with relevant experience in the field of Criminal Justice, PhD. is preferred. The candidate should possess strong written and oral communication skills, demonstrated ability to work effectively and collegially with a diverse group of students, faculty, staff and a commitment to teaching excellence and student mentorship.
