Job Description

Job summary

The Department of Communication at SVSU seeks part-time instructors for fall semester 2026 and winter semester 2027 to teach General Education courses in human communication. This includes Fundamentals of Communication, Public Speaking, and Introduction to Argument. The expectation is for in-person, on-campus teaching and the ability to teach a broad spectrum of undergraduate students.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Human Communication or closely-related field with at least fifteen graduate hours in human communication.
  • Experience and ability to positively interact with all members of the campus community
  • Ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodations.

Preferred Qualifications

• College-level teaching experience preferred.

SVSU fields 20 varsity sports at the NCAA Division II level.
