The Paraprofessional ensures the health, safety, and well-being of students by implementing IEPs and Behavior Intervention Plans. They are responsible for collecting daily data and utilizing approved crisis prevention techniques in a therapeutic school setting.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and a State Approved Paraprofessional or Substitute Certification. Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform tasks like bending and floor-sitting is required.

Easterseals Tinley Park Academy is hiring Paraprofessionals for our (ESY) 2026 Program. Paraprofessional or Substitute Certification This position is located at the Easterseals Academy - Tinley Park Campus at 17300 Ozark Avenue, Tinley Park, IL 60477.
Education/Certification: High School diploma or equivalent State Approved Paraprofessional License Skills/Abilities: Ability to perform all functions necessary to obtain and maintain certification in agency-required crisis prevention and intervention training, and CPR Ability to multi-task in a high-stress environment, while maintaining professional behavior Ability to communicate professionally and demonstrate respect for all staff members Ability to demonstrate warmth and respect while communicating with students Ability to interact with diverse personalities Adhere to all Easterseals policies ADA: Easterseals will make reasonable accommodations in compliance with the Americans with Disability Act of 1990.
