Job description

  • Dream Nannies is seeking a patient, compassionate, and dependable caregiver to support a kind and soft-spoken teenage girl in building confidence, independence, and daily structure.
  • The schedule is Monday through Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with responsibilities centered around guiding her through a consistent daily routine that includes waking up, maintaining personal hygiene, preparing simple meals, completing schoolwork, and engaging in light physical activity such as walks or playing badminton.
  • The ideal candidate will take a gentle but encouraging approach, helping motivate her to stay on track while fostering trust and a sense of security.
  • She may need extra support with transitions, particularly getting out of bed and staying on schedule, so someone who is calm, kind, and firm in a supportive way will be essential.
  • The role also includes helping her gradually build independence in everyday life skills such as completing chores alongside guidance, including laundry, unloading dishes, tidying the home, and assisting with basic cooking.
  • Encouragement with social confidence, including comfort around new people and environments, will be an important part of the position, as she experiences anxiety and benefits from reassurance and consistency.
  • On two days each week, the caregiver will assist with school drop-off at 2:00 p.m. for a 2:30 p.m. start time, and there may be occasional opportunities to support transportation to a therapy session on Tuesday afternoons.
  • The family is seeking someone who is genuinely caring, respectful, and culturally aware, as they maintain a kosher household and practice their faith regularly.
  • A caregiver who can model positive habits, provide gentle structure, and communicate in a way that emphasizes care and encouragement will be the best fit.
  • This is a meaningful opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting teens in gaining confidence, life skills, and independence in a nurturing and respectful environment.
