Develop and implement an age-appropriate Spanish language curriculum for students from PreK 4 through 8th grade. Foster a safe learning environment while teaching grammar, vocabulary, and cultural appreciation.
A Bachelor's degree in an education-related field and a State of Illinois Professional Educator License for foreign languages are preferred. Candidates should possess strong knowledge of Spanish grammar and current teaching methodologies.
The Spanish teaching position is currently 1 day a week and involves instructing PreK 4 through 8th grade students
Position Purpose Under the general supervision of the School Principal, develop students' knowledge, skills, and abilities in comprehending, speaking, reading, and writing in the Spanish language, and develop an understanding. Qualifications/Education State of Illinois Certification/Professional Educator License as a foreign language teacher in the particular language taught preferred. Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in an education discipline applicable to teaching assignment preferred.
$5,500-6,500; teaching 1 day a week, depending on credentials, education and experience. Opporunity to substitue for addtional days is available.
