Job description
- Little Hands Daycare is a licensed childcare center seeking Lead Teachers! Age groups: Infant and Preschool To be QUALIFIED for this position, we require a high school diploma OR GED, one year of classroom experience, and ability to pass all background checks. CDA or AA highly preferred! Required Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:30am-5:30pm Compensation: $17.50-$19.50 per hour, based on education and experience We are a family-oriented, close-knit organization and we have a lot to offer our next team member including:

Main Job Responsibilities
- Prepare lesson plans that are developmentally appropriate one week in advance using current curriculum guides.
- Implement lesson plans/curriculum on a weekly basis covering all areas of child development and carry out lesson plans according to classroom schedule/daily routine; Use our parent communication app efficiently.
- Establish a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children.
- Responsible for the safety and well-being of each child, responding to their emotional needs; and maintaining an organized, clean, safe, and appropriately decorated classroom.
- Maintain a child assessment and portfolio for each child, as well as conduct biannual parent/teacher conferences during the month of November and May.
- Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
- Carry out the daily responsibilities of the classroom relating to the care of the children.
