New Haven is hiring a Direct Support Professional / Youth Mentor to work directly with teen girls in a structured, therapeutic residential setting. New Haven is a nationally recognized residential treatment center serving adolescent girls ages 14–18. Our Spanish Fork campus provides a warm, home‑like environment where mental health care, trauma‑informed support, and academics come together. We help teens and families navigate emotional regulation, relational challenges, and behavioral health needs using a family‑centered, strengths‑based approach. This role is ideal for individuals interested in or pursuing careers in psychology, social work, counseling, behavioral science, or human services, and for those seeking hands‑on experience as a Direct Support Professional, Behavioral Health Technician, or Youth Mentor.

Responsibilities

Provide direct care and behavioral health support to adolescent residents Lead and participate in daily routines, group activities, and therapeutic programming Support the development of healthy coping skills, communication, and emotional regulation Assist with minor food preparation and model healthy lifestyle habits Maintain a safe, structured, trauma‑informed environment Collaborate with therapists and clinical staff to support individualized treatment plans Document daily progress notes and communicate key updates to leadership Use safe verbal de‑escalation and physical intervention skills when needed Paid training provided, including substance use recovery support and crisis intervention techniques.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent 21 years of age or older Valid driver’s license with a good driving record Ability to pass a Utah State background check Willingness to commit to a minimum of 8 months Ability to obtain a Food Handler’s Permit before the first day of work
