The instructor is responsible for planning, organizing, and leading fitness classes tailored to participants' fitness levels. They must ensure safe and effective workouts while encouraging participant engagement.
Candidates must be at least 18 years old and possess a high school diploma or GED. A nationally recognized group exercise certification and current CPR certification are required, along with a passion for health and fitness.
Description The group exercise instructor leads fitness classes or programs in their specific area of expertise (i.e. Cycling, Yoga, Zumba, Strength, Cardio, etc.) Primary responsibility is to plan, organize and safely lead participants through class and program activities appropriate to the fitness level of the participants in the class. Must be able to thrive in an environment with the unique challenges of a non-profit community service organization and must be willing to stay current with trends and certifications all while sharing a passion for fitness with team members and participants.
