Job description

Description At Boys & Girls Clubs of the Sioux Empire, our Assistant Teachers are key to creating a safe, engaging, and educational daycare and child care environment in our early learning centers. You’ll support early childhood education by helping implement lesson plans and working alongside Lead Teachers to guide activities for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.

  • Friday between 5:45am and 6:30pm. Staff enjoy consistent schedules, and our programs are closed nights and weekends.
  • Collaborate with

  • Teachers: Assist with lesson plans and classroom activities that support learning and development. Whether you're working with infants, toddlers, or Pre-K children, you'll play a key role in creating a nurturing, engaging childcare environment tailored to each stage of early childhood.
  • Assist

  • Care: Help with diapering, potty training, rest periods, and nap schedules; help prepare and serve balanced meals and snacks.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For: Experience & Education: Previous experience or education in early childhood development preferred but not required. CPR certification is required; however, we provide this training in-house if you are not currently certified. Communication, Teamwork & Reliability: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and solve problems efficiently. Physical Ability: Ability to lift up to 75 lbs occasionally, and perform tasks that require frequent standing, kneeling, and walking. Must be comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor environments, with exposure to varying temperatures. Screening Process: Job offers are contingent upon a post-offer screening, which includes, but is not limited to, background checks, child abuse and neglect screening, and drug test.
