The apprentice will teach English or History classes under the guidance of a mentor teacher while providing curriculum coverage and administrative support. They will also participate in co-curricular activities and support signature programs like Advanced Research and the Artemis Center.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Education, English, or History, with a Master's degree preferred. Prior teaching experience, particularly with middle school students, and a commitment to diversity and inclusion are required.
The Archer School for Girls seeks a Humanities Teaching Apprentice for the 2026–2027 school year. The Humanities Teaching Apprentice position offers the opportunity to develop expertise in teaching either English or History. We are looking for a candidate with a solid foundation in one of these subjects.
The Teaching Apprentice gains hands-on experience by working alongside a mentor teacher to build a repertoire of forward-thinking, student-centered instructional practices.
