English Adjunct faculty teach primarily first year composition courses but may also teach basic writing, literature, and creative writing courses.
Adjunct faculty members teach contracted classes in accordance with established policies and guidelines.
To reach a broad range of students, CWI encourages exploring alternative teaching styles and methods.
Courses will be taught in traditional classroom settings and online.
This position includes classes taught in the evenings/weekends and when necessary, at the College’s off campus centers.
Applicants will be contacted as need for adjuncts arises.
Most positions at CWI are in-person and based on campus. While some roles may allow up to two remote workdays per week, eligibility for remote work is determined on a case-by-case basis at the hiring manager's discretion. All candidates must reside within, or be willing to relocate to, a reasonable commuting distance from CWI. Employment visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Requires a Master's degree in a relevant field with at least 12 graduate credits in the discipline and experience teaching secondary level students. Proficiency in instructional technology and Blackboard is required, with post-secondary teaching experience preferred.
