First Children School – Plainfield, NJ Full-Time | Non-Exempt | $19.50–$22.00 per hour

First Children School is looking for compassionate, dependable, and energetic individuals to join our team as Instructional Paraprofessionals. In this hands-on role, you’ll work directly with students with special needs, providing academic support, personal care assistance, and encouragement throughout the school day.

No two days are the same, and every day offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a child’s life!

What You'll Do

You’ll partner with Teachers and therapists to support students in the classroom and help them build skills, confidence, and independence. Responsibilities may include assisting with lessons and activities, providing one-to-one support, helping with feeding and toileting, and ensuring a safe and positive learning environment.

What We're Looking For

We’re seeking individuals who are: · Patient, caring, and committed to helping children thrive

· Reliable and able to work effectively as part of a team

· Comfortable providing hands-on support to students with varying needs

· Strong communicators with a positive attitude

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Experience working with children or individuals with disabilities is highly preferred. Knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL) is a plus.
