Job Description

The men’s basketball assistant coach will assist the head coach in all aspects of leading the men’s basketball program. Duties include, but are not limited to, prospect evaluation and recruiting, game film management, on-court strategic input, player development, assisting in fundraising, assisting in summer camp organization and operations, and maintaining team social media pages.

Essential Job Functions

  • 1.
  • Assist head coach with on-floor basketball coaching.
  • 2.
  • Evaluate and recruit prospective student athletes on- and off- campus.
  • 3.
  • Maintain accuracy of men’s basketball FrontRush database.
  • 4.
  • Organize recruiting communications and campus visits.
  • 5.
  • Upload game film, breakdown game film and prepare scouting reports (both video and text).
  • 6.
  • Assist with program fundraising.
  • 7.
  • Assist with planning and operation of summer basketball camps.
  • 8.
  • Maintain team social media pages.
  • 9.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license and evidence of insurability required
  • First Aid and AED certification, preferred
  • Ability to work weekdays, weekends, and some evenings required
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
