Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive assessments of students' speech, language, and communication abilities. Develop individualized therapy plans and goals based on assessment results and students' needs. Provide direct therapy services to students, targeting areas such as articulation, phonology, language comprehension, fluency, and pragmatic skills. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other members of the educational team to support students' communication goals in the classroom and other educational settings. Incorporate evidence-based techniques and therapeutic activities into therapy sessions to promote speech and language development. Monitor students' progress and adjust therapy plans as needed to facilitate optimal outcomes. Document therapy sessions, progress reports, and other relevant information accurately and in a timely manner. Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings and provide input regarding students' speech and language needs.
Qualifications
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. WI Department of Public Instruction SLP License Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Experience providing speech-language therapy services in a school or pediatric setting. Proficiency in assessment tools and therapeutic techniques commonly used in pediatric speech-language pathology. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and school staff. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Experience in teletherapy or online counseling (preferred). Knowledge of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems and other assistive technology used in speech-language therapy (preferred).
