The Play Team Member is responsible for interacting with and ensuring the safety of the children while Club members are using the facility. You are responsible for maintaining a safe and fun environment for young children. You are to come up with creative and educational activities, while maintaining a clean environment for the children.

o Ensure children’s safety at all times

o Encourage a healthy active lifestyle through appropriate play, games and interaction

o Maintain a clean, sanitized and healthy environment at ALL times

o clean toys, play area, restrooms, etc. throughout every day

o Interact and greet children by name, comfort them throughout their visit

o Interact with parents/caregivers: greet by name and give feedback on children’s behavior

o Must maintain patience and common sense with children in the facility

o Ability to mediate and manage conflict effectively among children

o Initiate parent paging, when necessary

o Must be able to document and report basic incidents in writing

o Ensure parents complete all necessary paperwork according to procedures

o Diligently monitor child drop off and pick up – SAFETY IS #1 PRIORITY

Qualifications: o Must have experience working with children ages 10 months to 12 years of age

o Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written

o Must have a valid CPR/AED certification, including infant and child, on your first day of employment and maintain valid certification throughout employment

o Must adhere to all safety rules and guidelines and take necessary precautions to ensure safety of all children in the Kids Club

o PC literate, including Microsoft Office and various other products

Physical Requirements: o Must be able to sit for extended periods

o Must be able to lift and carry approximately 50 pounds

o Occasionally stoop, kneel or crouch
