The Special Education Teacher plans and implements developmentally appropriate classroom activities and customized instruction based on individual student goals. They are responsible for managing the classroom environment, conducting assessments, and collaborating with parents and staff during reviews and conferences.

Willing to consider an individual with a BA who is currently enrolled in a Special Education Masters Program leading to Teacher Certification.

Candidates must hold a BA or Master's degree and New York State Certification in Special Education for Grades 1-6 or 7-12. Experience working with special needs students aged 10-21 is preferred, along with a willingness to be trained in CPR, SCIP, and CPI.
