- SUMMARY: This position combines two critical support roles within the
- Extend program, creating a full-time (7:45 am-3:45 pm) position that spans both elementary and secondary education.
- In the morning (approximately 7:45
- AM-11:45 AM), this specialist will serve as an Extend Educational Assistant in the elementary school, providing support to students with identified learning needs and accommodation plans.
- In the afternoon (approximately 11:45
- AM-3:45 PM), they will serve as the Language Arts Learning Lab Instructor for the high school, providing targeted writing support and language arts instruction. The successful candidate will demonstrate flexibility, strong communication skills, and the ability to effectively support diverse learners at different grade levels and with varying learning needs.

- QUALIFICATIONS: College degree Experience working with both elementary and high school students Experience with children in school, church, summer camp, or similar settings Strong written and verbal communication skills Proficiency (or desire to learn) in Google Workspace and Apps Content knowledge of language arts/writing instruction Foundational understanding of writing and research processes Ability to take direction and willingness to learn and implement provided techniques Available and committed to working the full school year in accordance with the official school calendar with reliable weekly presence on all instructional days and professional development days
