- Duties: Responsible for teaching swimming lessons to all ages (instruct & monitor); Responsible for lifeguarding during swim classes, pool parties and/or public swim times. Implement YMCA practices that ensures the safety and quality of all swimming lessons, assuring program quality by assisting in evaluating all participants; Must be able to make quick decisions and be assertive in enforcing rules & regulations. Ability to maintain level of physical and mental readiness; ability to communicate verbally to large and small groups of members effectively
- Certifications: YMCA Swim Instructor or Water Safety Instructor (WSI) and Lifeguarding with CPR / AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid or equivalent; Must have both certifications completed by June 2026; Lifeguard & CPR

Qualifications
Minimum age-16. Recommended 1-3 years of experience teaching swimming and/or lifeguarding. Ability to maintain level of physical and mental readiness, must demonstrate water safety skills in accordance with YMCA standards at all times. Must pass criminal background clearance, drug test, health screening, TB test.
