Overview The Assistant Coach will assist the Head Coach with directing, supervising and implementing the duties and functions of the women's soccer program.
Qualifications
EDUCATION High School Diploma or equivalent. Preferred EXPERIENCE Demonstrated expertise in women's soccer. Required Prior coaching experience at the high school or college level. Preferred ABILITIES AND SKILLS Ability to provide instruction, training, and motivation necessary for the athletes to compete to the best of their ability. Required Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written form. Required Developed organizational skills. Required Must possess a current driver's license. Required Must be certified in CPR and First Aid or willing to acquire. Required Ability to work within the parameters established by the Head Coach and within the responsibilities as defined in the position description. Required
Responsibilities
Be responsible for being thoroughly familiar and complying with all College, United East Conference (UEC) and National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) policies and procedures. Assist in coaching the necessary skills, techniques and physical conditioning sufficient to enable each athlete to compete in the women's soccer program safely and to the best of his abilities. Be responsible for assisting with the on-site supervision during all practice and game situations. Exhibit a high level of expertise in soccer; seek self-improvement when possible. May be responsible for driving a College vehicle to and from sporting events, as needed. Assume Head Coach responsibilities in the short-term absence of the Head Coach. Assist with Camps and Clinics. Assist in the recruiting of prospective student athletes. Assist with Academic meetings, monitoring and study hall hours of student-athletes. Assist with community service and leadership development programs. Participate in Alumni engagement efforts. Work Game Day operations during Fall and winter seasons when not with soccer.
