- Job Requirements In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following: Associate's Degree is required Childbirth Education Instructor credential OR an RN License/Certification specific to childbirth is required RN or Specialty Certification depending on teaching assignment, preferred Provides childbirth and parent education in instructors area of expertise ie. breastfeeding, labor and delivery processes, expectant father education, sibling etc.
- Performs initial and on going assessment of each class participant’s learning needs, knowledge and skills.
- Customizes class outline, content and audiovisuals based on needs assessment of class participants.
- Receives consistently satisfactory class evaluations.
- Uses class evaluations and verbal feedback from participants to improve teaching skills and class content.
- Utilizes interactive teaching strategies.
