  • Functions: Lead group fitness classes (e.g., strength training, cardio, yoga, cycling) or provide individual fitness instruction. Ensure participant safety by monitoring proper form, offering modifications, and educating on safe exercise practices. Greet and interact with members in a friendly, professional manner to promote a positive YMCA experience. Prepare class routines and maintain consistency while keeping classes fresh and engaging. Enforce all YMCA policies and procedures, including those related to safety, health, and conduct. Set up and break down class equipment before and after each session. Respond to member questions and provide guidance on fitness-related topics. Maintain accurate attendance and incident reports as needed. Attend mandatory staff meetings, training, and continuing education.
