- Dates: August 3 – October 31, 2026 (subject to postseason play) Position Overview Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy (FSHA) is seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Assistant Varsity Volleyball Coach to support the development of the varsity volleyball program. The Assistant Coach will work collaboratively with the Head Coach to help student-athletes grow athletically, academically, and personally in a positive and mission-aligned environment. Primary Responsibilities Assist the Head Coach with planning and conducting practices, drills, conditioning, and match preparation. Support instruction in volleyball fundamentals, advanced techniques, and game strategy. Provide mentorship and individualized feedback to student-athletes. Assist with scouting, match preparation, and team management. Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, accountability, and leadership. Supervise student-athletes during practices, games, travel, and team events. Assist with equipment management and program operations. Maintain positive communication with athletes, parents, administration, and coaching staff. Ensure compliance with CIF, league, school, and safety regulations. Participate in summer training and camp activities beginning June 16, as needed. Qualifications Qualifications Previous volleyball coaching or playing experience preferred. Strong understanding of volleyball fundamentals and team dynamics. Ability to collaborate effectively with coaching staff and administration. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Commitment to supporting the development of young women through athletics. Current CPR/First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain prior to the season. Completion of required coaching certifications prior to the season. Physical Requirements Ability to actively participate during practices and games. Ability to lift and move athletic equipment. Availability for evenings, weekends, practices, games, and team activities.
