At Catholic Health, we are dedicated to providing exceptional care to every patient, every moment. Good Samaritan University Hospital, a 537-bed teaching hospital and Level I Trauma Center, is seeking a compassionate and motivated Child Life Specialist to join our team on a per diem basis.

Responsibilities

Provide psychosocial support to pediatric patients and families. Utilize therapeutic play and developmental activities to promote coping and healing. Prepare children and families for medical procedures and hospital experiences. Support families throughout the child’s healthcare journey. Maintain documentation and contribute to a safe, child-friendly environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Child Life, Child Development, Creative Arts Therapy, or related field required. Eligible for Child Life Certification (CCLS) within 18 months of hire. Completion of a 600-hour Child Life internship required. BLS/CPR certification required. ( American Heart Association accepted only) Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Pediatric healthcare and/or oncology experience preferred.

Salary Range

Usd $46.18 - Usd $46.18 /Hr.
